The BIGGEST CENGAL tree in the world

The forest reserves of Terengganu are rich with flora and fauna. In the vast Pasir Raja Forest Reserve located at Bukit Besi and near the border of National Park, stands the world’s largest cengal tree.


Usually cengal tree are used for building purposes due to its remarkable quality and durability. This particular cengal tree however verified by Malaysian Book of Record is estimated to be around 1300 years old and its diameter measures up to 16.75 metres. At towering 65 meters, it also stands majestically above most other trees.
